The Asheville Track Club welcomes runners from across the country for its 31st Bele Chere 5K. The Mission of the Asheville Track Club is to promote and support the running communities of Western North Carolina by providing information, education, training, social and sporting events for competitive and non-competitive runners and walkers of all ages, races, genders and abilities.

Tuesday, July 6, 2010 at 3:52PM Entry fees for the 2010 Bele Chere 5K increase to $30 on Friday, July 9 at midnight. Registration is well beyond last year's record levels and over 1,600 runners are expected this year.
Thursday, July 1, 2010 at 5:23PM The Asheville Track Club has slightly modified the start and finish lines of the 2010 Bele Chere to create a more festive and safer atmosphere for runners and spectators. The race will now start and finish on McCormick Place in front of McCormick Field.

Monday, June 28, 2010 at 1:23PM The design for the 2010 Bele Chere 5K can now be seen on the events page. It is a variation of the 2010 festival design.
The shirts are available to the first 1,600 registered racers. As of June 28, race registration is well ahead of the pace set at last year's record setting race of 1,425 runners.
Tuesday, June 8, 2010 at 1:22PM The Bele Chere 5K course has received USA Track & Field certification. The newly measured course is about 100 yards longer that in the past putting runners that much closer to McCormick Field.
The certification number is NC-10055-PH.
